Games for Change Arcades and Game Jams bring high-impact experiences to new audiences in unexpected contexts. In partnership with cultural institutions, conferences, companies, and more, G4C produces interactive game jams and arcades highlighting the best impact gaming projects and best practices from major developers and independent creators alike.
Games for Change works with partners on a wide range of content partnerships. We combine our expertise in social impact games and access to a large global community of developers in the gaming space to support partners in creating exciting and high-impact cross-plaftorm content that shines a light on impact and innovation in games and immersive media.
Games for Change designs curriculum that brings the best of games and game design into any learning environment. G4C curriculum integrates computer science and STEAM skills with social emotional learning to focus on building agency and driving positive change. Our curriculum design is based on a proven learning model used across G4C Learn programs, and can be adapted for different contexts with different goals.
Games for Change partners with leading organizations like Endless, AARP, and American Express to create design challenges for developers to explore big questions and create games around social impact themes. Past challenges have addressed topics from education and STEM learning to climate change and environmental conservation, in addition to other pressing issues.
Games for Change’s executive production capabilities include managing all aspects of design, development, evaluation, and distribution for impact projects and campaigns. Collaborating with designers, academics, subject matter experts, and researchers alike, G4C provides vision, continuity, and support throughout the duration of the project.
Workshops & Consulting
Games for Change works with a range of partners to create exciting, high-impact events and programs — from custom workshops and convenings to professional development programs, impact campaigns and more. Our partners get access to G4C’s unique experience, expertise and global community of leading thinkers in the gaming and impact space. Past partners include Unity, Epic Games, the State Department, and others.
9 Minutes was developed as part of the Half the Sky Movement portfolio of games. The experience used images and little text to play out the adventure of pregnancy.

G4C Climate Challenge
G4C introduced the PoLAR Partnership to the Autodesk Foundation when both approached G4C about using games to engage audiences around climate change. The alignment in goals evolved into a multi-team partnership that produced the G4C Climate Challenge.
