Summary: Games for Change is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to work in our New York City office. This person will report to the organization’s Managing Director.

Primary Duties:

Management and Operations

  • Lead company-wide efforts to improve efficiency and organizational effectiveness, including usage of technology and digital platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the organization to support staff and projects.
  • Oversee remote, hybrid and physical office space protocols. Develop and implement plans to anticipate space requirements and evolving needs.
  • Act as Games for Change’s Salesforce administrator and be the point of contact for any Salesforce related questions from internal staff and consultants.
  • Working closely with the Managing Director, develop and manage G4C’s strategic plan, growth, and operational processes, including proposing when to make key decisions and when/how to engage the Board and other partners. Help to proactively identify and plan for periods of high activity for G4C. Ensure standard operating procedures across the organization and proactively identify areas of opportunity.
  • Maintain records of institutional knowledge to share with team members as needed, both online (cloud-sharing platforms) and offline.
  • Manage all online platforms which include, and not limited to, project management software, phone and video conferencing, expense report platforms, internal team surveys, etc.

Budgeting, Finance, Accounting

  • Work with Games for Change’s external accounting firm to create and track invoices, provide backups of expenses and ensure Games for Change is compliant in their annual audit. 
  • Manage and work collaboratively on quarterly program budgets with program leads.
  • Ensure the quality control of financials.
  • Lead on the creation and filing of contracts for vendors, consultants and employees. Liaise with the program leads, ensuring alignment of scope of work and payment schedule is accurate. 

Employee-Related Operations

  • Support recruitment processes which includes and is not limited to full time and part time staff, program consultants and the Games for Change Internship Program. 
  • Manage the orientation/onboarding process for staff.
  • Work collaboratively with Insperity to ensure Games for Change is complying with HR policies and that staff and managers are aware of policies.
  • Ensure that G4C has adequate insurance policies in place, gathering COIs and working with brokers on renewing plans. 



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to translate complex organizational data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences. Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations/office management.
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • A deep commitment to the mission of the organization and its core values.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.


  • Experience with Salesforce
  •  Master’s degree in operations, finance, business, public administration, or another business-related field.
