DESIGN GAMES ABOUT REAL-WORLD ISSUES AFFECTING YOUR COMMUNITY

The G4C Student Challenge offers year-round programming for middle and high school educators in the Challenge City of Atlanta. The program engages schools throughout metro Atlanta and offers opportunities for both teachers and students in social impact game design.

HOW ATLANTA STUDENTS PARTICIPATE

GAME DESIGN RESOURCES

Learn how to design and code games for social impact with G4C’s new Intro to Game Design curriculum; move at your own pace and explore tons of free game design tools and industry resources along the way.

EVENTS

Teachers: Metro Atlanta teachers can apply now for PD in game design and to bring the Challenge to their school.

Students: Check out the Events Pg for game jams, workshops, office hours, and more! Events will be added once they are scheduled.

COMPETITION

Design and code a digital game about important social impact topics! Check out each of this year’s Theme topics to learn more (Theme pages available via the top navigation menu).

Students can enter their games in the annual G4C Student Challenge competition for the chance to win prizes, including a $10,000 scholarship.

Atlanta students will compete in the “South” division of the competition.
