In Activate players campaign for an issue of their choice, become a local leader, and start a national movement.  Players start by selecting one issue to volunteer and advocate for and the game offers four options:  Stop bullying at your school, help your family, volunteer at the local animal shelter or clean up the local park.  The issues are initially framed in terms of local action, but as the player progresses and completes goals (in the form of mini-games) your activism reaches a national scale. By completing tasks, managing your resources and mobilizing others you will successfully reach your goal: To raise awareness 100% in all regions of the US.

Activate is part of the iCivics suite of games which are designed to provide teachers and students with immersive and effective tools for learning about civic issues.

    Overview:
I am in the Project Management / Operations world and my girlfriend is a certified life coach through iPEC. We found this to be a wonderfully productive game which incorporates a wide variety of humor and wit, we both found this to be a game that is very fun if it’s up your alley. It was a great layering of exercises, teaches sequence, and playing the games that also taught logic.

    ‘It was awesome!’ -my girlfriend

    Pros:

    Entertaining!
    Interactive

    Cons:

Options may seem to limit, but they’re funny and cover all the major ground.
