Games for Change (G4C) provides support, visibility and shared resources to organizations and individuals using digital games for social change. This is the primary community of practice for those interested in making digital games about the most pressing issues of our day, from poverty to race and the environment. We are the social change/social issues branch of the Serious Games Initiative.

G4C Second Life Ambassador on NPR

Posted by Hsing Wei on 11-29-06

Hear David Weinberger (Berkman Center at Harvard Law), Gary Goldberger (Ambassador for G4C in Second Life), and John Lester (Linden Lab employee) address the concerns of skeptics.

In this NPR interview David, Gary, and John share their opinions about Second Life’s value.  David raises examples where the role-playing game is channeled into the real world, including a class at Harvard.  Gary speaks about how his avatar shares G4C’s mission, gets people interested in the nonprofit’s initiatives, and starts real world conversations.
