Public Utility Game about Water Conservation

Posted by Hsing Wei on 01-08-07

Complementing text FAQs on its website, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has a game letting citizens navigate through a leaky house to learn about how to save water, money, and the environment.

In Waterbusters players must quickly help characters fix expensive water leaks.  Along the way, players learn facts about how to fix problems and improve water efficiency.  Interestingly, although hosted on Seattle Public Utilities’ website, there is no clear link to the game on the agency’s section on “Reducing Water Use”.  Waterbusters is more readily found, targeted towards kids and parents, at Saving Water Partnership, a website sponsered by a group of local utilities, including SPU, that fund water conservation programs in and around Seattle.
