3rd World Farmer Game

Can “experiencing” injustices via digital games, rather than reading about them, stimulate deeper reflection and action to alleviate poverty in third world countries?

3rd World Farmer thinks so.  The game’s developers aim to invest players in their character, an African farmer who must manage the difficult choices poverty brings.  Originally conceived as a student project at the IT-University in Copenhagen, the game is being further developed by part of that original team.  The current online version is complete and playable, however the development team is continuously looking for feedback on new content and updates that create a more accurate, thought-provoking game.
