BrainPOP

With their collection of animated educational content, BrainPOP supports teachers, engages students, and bolsters achievement in classrooms and at home. Their resources cover topics within Science, Math, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Music, Health, Reading, and Writing.

Founded in 1999, BrainPOP creates animated, curricular content that engages students, supports educators, and bolsters achievement. Their award-winning online educational resources include BrainPOP Jr. (K-3), BrainPOP, BrainPOP Español, and, for English language learners, BrainPOP ESL.

BrainPOP is also home to GameUp, an educational games portal for the classroom. BrainPOP content is carefully mapped to the Common Core, aligned to academic standards, and searchable with their online Standards Tool. GameUp features over 100 games from partners and is lauded by educators, players, and parents alike.

Filament Games

Filament Games is a production studio that exclusively creates learning games. The company’s games combine best practices in commercial game development with key concepts from the learning sciences. Filament Games has partnered with companies such as Caterpillar, McGraw Hill Education, the Smithsonian Institution for Science and Education, and EkStep to deliver world-class game-based learning tools and simulations, and also developed their own award-winning suite of science games that has been implemented in districts across the country.

Playmatics

Playmatics specializes in creating digital and real-world interactive games and experiences for people all around the world.

The company was founded in 2009 by recognized game designers Nicholas Fortugno and Margaret Wallace. Since then, Playmatics has collaborated with PBS, AMC, the New York Public Library, and others to create unique experiences ranging from web games to museum installations. Their pioneering work in the area of digital comics, storytelling games, and augmented reality games have garnered them multiple MUSE awards as well as the Audience Choice award at the 2014 Made in NY Media Center by IFP Demo Day.

Their many museum games have had thousands of players each. Their game OurCity, made in collaboration with USAID and NetHope, reached 10,000 unique users on Facebook within a month of launch.

Schell Games is a full-service game design and development company, which specializes in creating transformational games and innovative, interactive experiences.

Led by world-class game designer and esteemed author Jesse Schell, the company crafts transformational games, or games that change people for the better. In 2015, the company was named Culture Leader of the Year by Tech 50. They have most recently been at the forefront of VR gaming with the Vision Inspire Award winning puzzle game I Expect You To Die and the TECHwithKIDS.com Best Pick App Water Bears.

Schell Games has completed numerous projects for Fortune 100 companies, such as The Walt Disney Company and Microsoft Corporation. They’ve worked with some of the world’s most respected brands as clients, including SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Amplify, Yale University, Lionel LLC and The Fred Rogers Company.
