Christa has developed products, services, events, and programs in the for-profit, nonprofit, and public sectors across a wide range of industries including financial services, retail, health and wellness, environmental conservation, education, and the arts for 15 years. She is passionate about the use of technology to build a better world and over the last 5 years has worked on a number of mobile-tech based projects. Of all her professional experiences, she credits her time managing Broadway shows including Cabaret
, The Full Monty
, and Beauty and the Beast
as the greatest training ground to learn the tremendous value of the discipline, collaboration, and creativity found in the marriage of science and art.
In addition to her business experience, Christa is also a freelance writer with credits in a wide variety of publications including PBS
, Business Week
, and The Wall Street Journal
. She is also an accomplished public speaker on the topic of creativity with appearances at SXSW 2011 and 2012, NYU’s Tisch School, and Hunter College. Christa received her BA in Economics and History from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA in General Management from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. She currently consults with the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop on the National STEM Video Game Challenge and MediaShift, a PBS site about the changing landscape of media in the digital age.
